Review of Empower Network – Will This Tool Really Help You Build Your Business?
There are a lot of tools out there to help you build your business. The question is, how can we tell the ones which will make the most difference to you and your business?
Anytime I look at a new tool for promoting my business, I always weigh out how much it costs in terms of time, money and energy and what results can be produced by using it and how these results relate to my goal.
As marketers we can have “Shiny Object Syndrome” and jump for anything that promises any result.
When I first came across The Empower Network, I was not looking for a marketing platform. I had heard a little about the group and the promise of “100% Commissions Directly Deposited Into Your Bank Account” seemed like it was probably a hollow promise that involved a loophole of some type. I opted in to check out the presentation and was really surprised by what I found. I decided to join for a number of reasons.

1. The Empower Network as a Perfect Plug and Play Marketing System
Anyone who is in Network Marketing understands that it’s not what works that matters, it’s what duplicates. People who are new to promoting a Network Marketing Business through blogging and social media are usually thrown into overwhelm in a very short time and it may even cause them to give up. The Empower Network is a complete blogging platform with a strong opt-in offer, marketing funnel and autoresponder already in place.
This will give the new person a powerful and already set up content marketing platform. This means that they can be connecting with others and promoting their business instead of trying to understand the ins and outs of all of this right off of the bat. Also included is a lot of marketing training and resources. They can make a money on the front end with the system and generate leads on the back end to help them build their primary business.
2. The Empower Network Pays 100% Commissions!
I didn’t think this was even possible. Not only are the commissions 100% but they are directly deposited into your bank account! Since this is the first time this kind of thing has ever been offered, it puts in the hands of anyone with $25 a powerful lead magnet as well as the means to make instant commissions.
If you have trouble believing this, check out the total commissions paid out in their first six days:
…and a total of $454,624.20 as of today, just one week after opening.
3. The Empower Network Will Help Get Your Content Seen
The Empower Network System is a Blogging Network with well over a 1,000 bloggers adding content to the network on a daily basis. There is some automatic syndication of content by the network’s bloggers, the Alexa score is at about 37K and the domain is 8 years old. All this adds up to your content having more weight with the search engines which will help it to be seen by more people.
4. Is The Empower Network the Most Affordable and Lucrative Marketing System Ever?
Whenever I look at something, I always check out the cost vs. the benefits. With a cost of $25 a month and paying out 100% commissions, if just one person joined at the most basic level, your original $25 would pop back into your account!
Also, the cost of an autoresponder like Aweber starts at $19 per month and hosting is about $7 which makes this less expensive than setting up an regular blog, not to mention the time and energy saved in the process.
There are two other products, one for $100 and one for $500 that also pay 100% commissions. As you saw from the total amount of commissions paid out to individuals so far, this can be substantial.
If you are even a little bit curious, check out this presentation of the Empower Network and see for yourself.

Hey Paul,
Great review of The Empower Network product. When people first come online, they are overwhelmed with what it takes to set all these things up and having a simple solution could help many. On the other hand, working through some of the struggles and learning the ins and outs has it’s benefits as well for long term success. It’s kind of like winning the lotto when you have no money management skills. Eventually, these people end up broke or further in debt.
This may be an overly complex answer, but in the end, people just need to do and try what is best for them. I always say if the product or service stands by itself without a business attached to it, then it’s a good decision to purchase.
I agree that in Network Marketing that duplication is the key to building a strong foundation and also a large team. Unfortunately with the internet, people come here Network Marketing companies looking for fast results in hopes to hit the jackpot. This is a process and it takes a lot of time to produce those results. I myself (lol)recommend to my team to stay focused on “OLD SCHOOL” methods. I know that’s probably sounds funny coming from me, but I want them to make money quick and they can then duplicate the process to the rest of our team. Duplication at it’s finest, but that’s just the way that we build most of our income.
Thanks for sharing this great review and I’m sure that it will help a lot of people looking to build a presence online!
Dave and (Dawn)
Thanks Dave,
I agree, the the ups and downs seem like a rite of passage for anyone in Network Marketing as well as Internet Marketing. Pretty much everyone I know who is successful went through a lot to get there, but in the end the results justify what has been done. I love that Charles Bukowski quote:
“What matters most is how well you walk through the fire.” – CB
What I love about the combination of Network Marketing and Online Marketing is that there are now so many different ways to build a business like online, offline through Social Media and SEO, etc. A new person can choose what way best suits their personality and natural gifts rather than just having one way to build the life they want.
Thanks for your comment!
Thanks Paul! I zeroed in on this one phrase – Anyone who is in Network Marketing understands that it’s not what works that matters, it’s what duplicates. We can do everything right but if we don’t duplicate we are not going to get the long term goals taken care of!
I am seeing so much buzz on the net about Empower Network. I still have to understand how they would pay 100% in commission. Someone got to make money somehow. I know of David Wood and from what I hear he is very successful. Looks like this Empower Network will turn into Gold if it hasn’t already. I see it being promoted by people I have lots of respect for so am sure it is a good opportunity.
Thanks for your comment Liz,
It is strange and I opted in to find the loophole and after working the numbers it is totally legitimate. It is true that if someone were going to sponsor more people into that platform than the two founders, they would make more money than them.
Due to their both having large lists, I think the main goal is to break records and create a lot of social proof which, of course, does have a good effect on a person’s income as well
Hi Liz,
I was curious about the same thing regarding empower network, and here’s what I found out:
Both Dave’s are making money with the system. 1. They are using the system their selves, in fact, I purchased my Empower Network Membership through David Wood. 2. They are building their brand. What better way to build know, like, and trust relationships than by offering a marketing system that set’s you up as the merchant (you are not really an affiliate, but an independent merchant yourself, you keep all the revenue through your version of the system).
I think this is ingenious and it’s a win-win-win for everyone.
Oh boy, ANOTHER learning curve for me. This sounds fantastic, but I need to bookmark it and give it my attention after I finish my monthly goals. I’m trying to be as focused as possible, and this is a great “shiny object” I want to jump on.
Thanks for bringing me up to date on this, because I haven’t heard of it yet.
Donna
Absolutely Donna,
It’s really a balancing act. There are so many amazing tools and opportunities out there but if we forget to commit to our goals and put them first, nothing could come to fruition.
Hi Paul, good review of the system, I’ve seen so much about it, was wondering what it’s all about. So now I know:-)
A couple more things concern me about it. Is there any way that people can brand themselves, or is it just for a brand new person?
If people use it simply because of the promise of 100% commissions and the idea they can make quick money, they might not take the time to learn what it really takes to become a leader and make a lot of money for themselves.
Thanks for informing us Paul and have a great weekend! regards from Julieanne
Thanks for your comment Julieanne,
I’m glad that you brought up branding. That was one of my concerns when I first took a look at Empower Network. My primary blog is this one but I have been leveraging my blog on Empower Network generate additional leads and traffic and to give this blog extra SEO. I came up with a traffic/ linking strategy where both blogs will help each other (Empower Network is an 8 year old domain with a really high Alexa ranking – 11k and it is going up rapidly).
For the new person who wants to brand themselves, I would encourage them to start with Empower Network and and use it to produce strong results (lead flow, larger commissions and sign-ups into their primary company) in a short period of time. Strong social proof is such a key factor in how quickly a business is grown. They can then use this social proof and reference it to continue to build their brand, even more social proof and authority online. They can then use all of this to build an additional personal blog or whatever they would want to promote.
Paul,
this is a fantastic find. I love the concept of having a real business presents for new people looking to start a business. You have your own established blog and hosting service. Now, through in auto responder and things get interesting.
I am old school and have made a wonderful lifestyle that makes it easy for my to continue supporting people globally in all areas. I stick with my projects and do not allow myself to bounce around. This takes allot of courage.
Everyone is coming out with a platform to join for x amount and build a team for a lifetime. Then some charge at different levels and promise if you find others to pay the same level you can receive revenue. Well, 100% is fine if that was the case. Yet, each person I recruit that is 100% if the stay. Then we skip members I help them recruit. Some are sent to me and some are not. So that is not 100% to me?
I do the math and if I am not getting 100% commission on everyone who I recruit how is that as they state. 100% of commissions. Good luck with this one. It sounds great in the beginning. You would not receive 100% on 100% of all the people you bring in. Only get paid on some of the people. Misleading in their words. The product is recruit people. The other tools to establish the blog and host their pitch page goes to whom?
Well, it sounds like a huge challenge and I wish all well. This is what accomplishing due diligence is all about. Never base you reactions on just words. Do the research and math based on that verbal promise in the video. Let me know what you think.
Paul, you can make anything work is your passionate about it. Keeping an solid team is the key. Your one of our great visionaries in this industry. I will be monitoring this project to see how well people do. Thank you for sharing this information. I look forward to your next article.
Thanks for your insightful comment William,
You bring up a couple of important points.
I understand what you are saying and I see where the confusion is. They do pay 100% commissions, which is to say that the two people who created it don’t take a % of the commissions out of everyone’s pocket for creating the system. This would be understandable if they choose to do this, but they decided to pay out 100%.
If a company pays out a total of 35% commissions to a network of distributors based on the specifics of their pay plan (this can be found by looking at the cost to join + the subscription price vs. the total amount they pay out including both residual income and bonuses), they pay out a total of 35% but not to just that one person, it is spread out over a number of people. In this scenario, it would be fair to say that that company pays out a total of 35% commission to it’s distributors. The other 65% goes to the company and is allocated however they decide.
With the Empower Network they pay 100% commissions. On the $25 monthly, they pay 100% of that $25 subscription to the person who directly referred them – Person A, for the second subscription order, they pay 100% of that $25 commission to the person who originally referred person A and for the next one it pays 100% again to person A. In this way, someone could create a residual income that is not solely based on their efforts alone.
There are two other products, one that is $100 monthly and one that is a $500 one time purchase. On these two items they always pay 100% directly to the person who referred them without going up. That is how there are people making over $10,000 so far in just over a week of being open. This is because the larger commissions are paid directly to the person who referred them.
I understand the confusion and I hope this clears that up.
That being said, it’s amazing being part of something that is offering so much to so many people. They created this whole system, the products that cost $100 and $500 and are giving away 100% of the commission on the things that they worked hard to create and promote. I don’t know of anyone else in the industry who is doing that.
They paid out over $600,000 in commissions in their first 10 days. Imagine what the two creator of the system would have made personally if they were paying 85% commission. They chose to do 100% and they make their money working it just like everyone else, without taking even a small cut of everyone else’s commissions.
Also, I understand what you said about having attention split in too many directions. I would not do this if it were just about the commissions, it needs to help my primary company and my team and help this blog be better as well. I have experienced a stronger lead flow that will help my primary company (and my team) as well as additional traffic and an added SEO benefits that this blog has experienced.
Thanks again for your comment and your passion William!
Great review Paul. I love that term “shiney object syndrome” because it’s something that any of us can catch regardless of what business we’re in! Thanks.
Thanks Marty,
When I think of “shiny object syndrome” I think of the Pixar movie Up, when the dogs see a squirrel and no matter what they are talking about or focused on as soon as they see it they shout “squirrel!”
Entrepreneurs can also be the same thing with new tools. The challenge is to see below the surface and see the real value of something independent of buzz.
Thanks for this great share Paul, this is really interesting information. I would like to know more about Empower Network. This is really a big gold mine for someone. And the fact that it is one of the most affordable and lucrative marketing system ever, makes me wanna try myself as well
Thanks for your comment Eleonora,
I have had a great experience with it. If you are interested, I encourage you to check out the link at the end of the post. Even if you ultimately feel that it’s not right for you, it’s useful to see a great presentation that’s done right.
Great and thorough review of Empowered Network thanks Paul. I especially like that with a reasonable amount of exposure to my list I can be in profit the very first week. The true test though is, it is a product I would buy anyway, the chance to learn from David Wood
Thanks for your comment Lynda,
Yes, I admit that the training and learning how this was put together and the chance to benefit from all of the training that is included was what got me interested in the first place. The 100% commissions and in profit quickly thing is nice too
Great review Paul. I love that term “shiney object syndrome” because it’s something that any of us can catch regardless of what business we’re in! Thanks.
I think it is a balancing act. To swear off all tools guarantees that life will be difficult (humans are tool makers after all), but relying on them too much isn’t healthy. The key is to identify your top priorities and see if that tool will help you get to what matters most to you.
Great idea to post this info. Especially now, when the world is full with different info and points of view about “empower network” But don’t you think that it sounds too positive and good ? Come one. share with us: is there any hidden trap in it?
Thanks for your comment and question. I have been in it just over a week and have had a phenomenal experience with it. I have had my experience verify that is is actually no BS 100% commissions. David Wood and David Sharpe (the two founders) make their money like everyone else using the system without taking a cut of everyone’s commissions. I think one of the reasons that they decided to do this is to create rapid growth and break records which they have done. Social proof is more important than commissions, because it will give them massive credibility for anything they choose to do in the future.
Good to share, Paul.
Many of my students have spent enormous amounts of money trying to learn how to make money online either through internet marketing or network marketing.
Sometimes that money may have been better spent elsewhere, but for the most part, it’s like paying for an education. Who complains about spending $100,000 to get a B.A., even when they can’t get a job.
So the few hundred, even thousands of dollars you might spend learning this craft is small in comparison, especially when you consider that you now have a truly marketable skill.
Excellent insight David,
The price of the traditional approach is often taken for granted, especially in times like these where there is no guarantee of income. There is little security in depending on others for employment. The greatest security is what you create for yourself.
Another thing to consider is the nature of the work/ income provided by these different approaches. If someone goes the route of the traditional business and the time, energy and money that this approach requires, they don’t have access to the level of freedom through residual income that is possible with Network Marketing and some forms of Affiliate Marketing.
Paul loved the post. When people come online one of the worst things is that pain until you get your first check…. followed by the pain of not breaking even. Gives me the willies just remembering it.
This is by far a system that can change that forever. Thankyou for your leadership in joining us in Empower Network see you at the top.
Be Blessed and Have Success
Thanks for your comment Arthur,
There are so many great things about the Empower Network and probably my favorite is the ability for new people to get started and into profit quickly. We have all heard (and in most cases lived through) the horror stories of debt, rejection and maybe even being chased out of a store or two:)
I believe that we are on the brink of a shift in how our society thinks about Entrepreneurs. More people every day are waking up to the fact that having one source of income, like a traditional J.O.B. is not enough. If the average person had multiple streams of income and some of them residual, our economy would be unshakable.
Hello Paul,
Sadie here in France, just read your article I commend you for the wisdom you have shared here;-
<>
So many people do what I call ‘buy on the fly’ – that is without really thinking thinks through. It’s one of the reason I think that eBay is so popular! Homes the world over are full of ‘buy on the fly’ items and the social accepted way to get rid of them is eBay!
I’ve not heard of the Empower Network before so I’m please I popped over here and I wish you continued success with it Paul.
Hi Paul,
To be honest, i just heard empower network from this post. It seems like a great site to connect with potential customers. I really didn’t grasp the entire concept but i’m visiting their site now to dig for further information. Anyways, thank you for the great review!
Hi Paul,
Thanks for a thorough look at the Empower Network.
I know with your experience, you conducted your due diligence and if you decided to take a shot, there must be something worthwhile.
I like that you are utilizing the system to help with your SEO of this blog.
But, I can’t help but visualize in big BOLD letters flashing before my eyes…” if it sounds too good to be true….. (and you know how the rest goes)
While it’s admirable to offer people just getting started the chance to bypass certain learning curves and have a plug and play system and a ready made blog, I just wonder how they will learn the skills they will need to become consistent and persistent and have long term growth.
It’s great that the system duplicates, but from what I have seen, (please correct me if I am incorrect) outside of experienced Networkers and bloggers like yourself who have original content, all of the Empowered Network blogs don’t allow for customization and individuality, which is essential in building your brand.
The blogs that I have seen just seem to be screaming JOIN MY OPPORTUNITY!!
Will this stand the test of time, especially paying out 100%. Granted, it’s never been done before and maybe there is a reason why.
Personally, I respect your decision…
But, for me…I pride myself on discipline and focus and not making a mad dash for the next new thing on the block, because it just NEVER ends…
I wish you luck with this platform and look forward to your updates.
To your success,
Marc
Thanks for your thoughtful comment Mark,
I get where you are coming from with the “too good to be true” and that it’s never been done before observations. What makes this possible is that at the end of the day, it is a network of blogs and a couple of information products, so there isn’t much of any kind of overhead. Because of this, the two guys who created the system are able to pay out 100% commissions and make their money like everyone else who is part of it, rather than taking a % of everyone’s commissions for themselves. I actually think this decision will make them more money than if they decided to keep a % of everyone’s commissions. They have paid out almost $1 million in commissions and they have been officially launched for about three weeks. The social proof that follows creating something like this, the rate of growth and the commissions paid out will go a long way.
In terms of the learning curve, I agree that taking time and going gradually can have great value.
I think that Network Marketing is an industry of belief. If someone absolutely believes that they can succeed, then they can and if they have doubt…they probably won’t ultimately succeed. The strongest belief is based on our own experience. So, if someone is able to make a larger chunk of money in a shorter time than they ever have before, it will radically expand their belief and as a result further expand their potential. When someone is able to produce remarkable results, the social proof from that can accelerate their learning curve.
I agree that the blogs are all with one theme right now, but that will change shortly as I can see in the back office that there is a theme option now that is going into place.
In terms of your comment about the “next new thing on the block” that’s totally relative. Anyone can approach any opportunity with that mentality. Any opportunity or tool or even the industry of Network Marketing can be “the next hottest, newest thing” because it is new to them. To dismiss something because it is new and popular is to miss that everything is totally relative. There are people who will treat this like a serious business and get serious results. Others, will jump on the bandwagon because that is what they do and they will get the results that those types of people generally get.
Any tool or opportunity merely presents an set of possibilities. Each thing has it’s own unique set of potentials that become available to those who use it. There are people who achieve profound results and those who don’t. In all cases, the opportunity is just the tool and the person using that tool determines 95% or more of the results, not the opportunity/ tool.
An artist is the one who creates something remarkable, the brush is just the means to realize their vision.
I think I have to repeat what another person said about reading blogs that are just pushing product constantly. I just joined one network because it reminded me of the old comment exchange systems in 2005… I actually had built a PHP script that automated the process to give random member sites to other members.
I get comments, but I like the fact that with networks, you can connect with other bloggers. Frankly, I have a lot of interests, but I also have been blogging for about a decade.
How many different syndication networks should a person join off the bat or is it possible to be a part of several networks and find the time even for well established sites?
Most people who successfully market through content will focus on providing content first and then monetize second. If it is just pushing monetization without strong content, that person’s efforts are doomed to fall flat.
In terms of joining networks, I believe that it’s best to try things out and see what value it provides. Like I said in the post, I was originally skeptical until I dug into Empower and found value.
There are some great comments here, with great thinking on the benefits and issues that people see with this system.
I do believe that this has the power to help many folks. I am an Empower Network Member myself, but I didn’t purchase at first.
When I was first presented the sales page, I said yeah right. This sounds like a really clever marketing funnel. And truth is, that’s partly what it is.
But, after doing my research, the promise of what’s being provided is actually being delivered.
I don’t recommend that people use the empower network as their primary blog. I think individuality and your own personality will carry you far and you need a primary home blog that sets this up for you.
But I do think it’s a great funded proposal and article marketing/syndication system.
What throws many people off is the promise of 100% commissions. Sounds unlikely to many marketers.
However, it’s only unlikely if you are entering into a traditional affiliate marketing or network marketing business plan.
That’s not what this is. The Empower Network set’s you up as the originating merchant- meaning you are the credit card processor. (Almost like a Franchise).
Truth is, the promise of 100% commissions is probably throwing people off and it would be better if we all emphasized the benefits of becoming an Empower Network Merchant, for the training and high-value article syndication possibilities.
Thanks for a great post!
-James
Hi Paul,
Thanks for nice presentation of Empower Network.
I’ve never tried it but it seems interesting. I have my own blog, autoresponder ecc. I think that I am ready.
I haven’t tried using empower yet, now that I learn about how helpful it is specially in promoting content to my blog I think this well be worth a try. Thank you for sharing to all.
This is the first time I am hearing about the Empower Network. Being new to the online business approach it’s hard to know who to trust and what steps to take that will help you grow. There are so many different things offered that sometimes I find myself lost. But I appreciate your insight on this and hope that you will write about your experience with it a couple of months from now so we can know if you truly did benefit from it. I will look out for it :0)
Hi!
Nice post you got there! Thanks for sharing this information about the Empower network. Empower network really is helpful and effective way on earning large amount of money. Like gaining a 100% commission and what you earn go straightly to your bank account.
I have been seeing a lot of posts about Empower Network lately. It looks interesting and your review provided more details that has helped me understand it better. I am now more and more inclined to check it out. How is it working for you?
Hi Paul,
You did a fantastic job with this review of Empower Network. Your responses to some of the comments show great leadership and stability in what you believe. I joined Empower Network, as you know, but I have to admit I did mainly because of David Wood and David Sharpe who I have great respect.
In order for someone to really understand the power of this program, they have to get involved and witness the meat and potatoes of it. At first I rejected the “hype” because it seemed to be another “shiny object.” However after researching the program, quite frankly there is a much deeper purpose of the program besides the 100% commissions. David and David have come with a program that is duplicatable and was designed for “the little guy.” My skepticism changed once I attended a Monday night “Empowered Hour” and it changed to realizing how unique this program is compared to the hundreds of other opportunities out there.
In reference to the viral blogging system, I don’t have a problem promoting an opportunity, but as Marc Korn mentioned,”The blogs that I have seen just seem to be screaming JOIN MY OPPORTUNITY!!” which at this time is true but at the same time, we are marketers! We need a place to promote our opportunities and by combining content and a unique marketing funnel. I think with time, individualization will surface and members will be able to add their unique touches to their Empower Network Blogs. I believe it is a win win situation. I don’t want to jeopardize my branding so I like the fact that we can use a separate plug and play system.
James hit it the target when he said, “But I do think it’s a great funded proposal and article marketing/syndication system.” The training and inspiration is worth the program in my opinion. However, everyone has the free agency to decide what works for them. I am a member of Mastermind Partner Program and as a group we are implementing our own marketing platform using Walk The Stage and Empower Network, which is already showing success!
Thanks Paul for your outstanding overview of the Empower Network program.
Raena Lynn
Empower Network sounds like a great program. To tell you the truth, I am thinking in what to do with what I just started. I was sharing with Raena I signed up for a similar program not too long ago; however, this one seems much better and I see the results people have had much quicker.
Hey Paul,
I signed up with Empower Network about a week ago and I already see some results. In my opinion the next months are crucial to establish a good position in the system.
Great review!
thanks for the share!

Hey Paul,
JUst drop by you blog for another reason and found this great review. I was approached by someone about Empowered Network and another program at the same time/ I joined both but felt I didn’t have time to do bot so I dropped EN. After reading your post I think I will take a closer look.
Hi Paul,
I didnot have much idea about Empower Network before but after reading your post and comments, I will work on it and let you know the result.
Hi Paul
I am curious about Empower network and will check the presentation.I think it will be very helpful in promoting content to my blog. Thanks to write review on Empower network.
Empower Network claims that it removes all technical aspects of your marketing so that you can immediately get started in your advertising efforts on day 1, and for the most part … their right.
BUT, and that is a big ‘but’… what differentiates YOU from everyone else marketing the same system?
